🔑 The Key Difference
English changes the verb: eat → eating → ate → will eat.
Thai doesn't. The verb กิน (gin — eat) stays the same. Instead, we add helper words before or after the verb to show when the action happens.
Core Example: กิน (gin) — Eat
This is the most important concept in Thai tenses. The verb never changes. Only the helpers do.
Other Common Verbs
The same tense pattern applies to every verb. Learn these four verbs and you've learned how Thai tenses work.
